KQED Public Radio

 

KQED Public Radio is one of America's leading NPR member stations. KQED Public Radio provides in-depth local, regional, national, and international news and public affairs programs to more than half a million listeners throughout Northern California each week.

KQED Public Radio news provides daily local news reports within Morning Edition and All Things Considered. The station produces documentaries with companion Web sites such as "Boomtown," a project that explores the impact Silicon Valley has had on the culture, the land, and the lives of people living in the Bay Area.

KQED Public Radio is home to The California Report, California's daily statewide public radio news magazine. The station also presents Forum, hosted by Michael Krasny, a Monday-through-Friday interview and talk program that is considered one of the best in the nation. Other original KQED Public Radio productions include Pacific Time and Hot Soup.

The station also has partnerships for the production of The Commonwealth Club of California, City Arts and Lectures, The World Affairs Council, and Youth Radio on KQED Public Radio.
